Beginner Programs
Little Generals - Beginner Program (1st-2nd grade)
Dates: Mondays, September 14th - October 21 (4:15-5:15pm) OR Tuesdays September 8th - October 29th (5:15-6:15pm)
Location: Mondays @ Runway 35 Park, Tuesdays @ Jet Stream Park

Description: The Little Generals program will focus on the fundamentals of lacrosse. These basic fundamentals include ground balls, stick protection and cradling, passing, catching and shooting. Throughout the season, competitive play will increase to 3v3 situations. We will often be using indoor, softer balls to reduce the risk of injury. This program will emphasize the importance of teamwork, self-esteem and having fun.
Jr Developmental - Beginner Program (3rd-6th grade)
Dates: Wednesdays, September 25th-October 30th
Times: 4:15-5:15pm
Location: Jet Stream Park in Stapleton

Description: The Junior Development Program is designed to help beginners or those who are not ready for the competitive program. Coaches will focus on their skill development, with the goal for them to be ready to join the competitive team in the spring. We will break down the fundamentals and basic team concepts of lacrosse each session. These basic fundamentals include ground balls, stick protection and cradling, passing, catching, and shooting. The basic team concepts include team defense, team attack, full-field transition and the draw control. The program will emphasize the importance of teamwork, leadership, and competitive play.
2nd Grade Program (1+ year of Little Generals required)
Dates: Thursdays, September 19th-October 24th
Times: 4:30-5:30pm

Description: The 4th & 5th grade programs and team selection will be based on both defensive and offense skill work, as well as team play. Our goal is for ALL girls to be challenged appropriately, find success and a role among her team, encourage those who might "hide" on the field to be in a position to gain more confidence and get more touches on the ball and to keep those who excel athletically from relying on athleticism and tighten up their stick work. If your unable to attend placements, then you will be placed on bronze. All athletes will have another opportunity for team placements in February. All programs will focus on the fundamentals. Our goal is for ALL girls to be challenged appropriately, find success and a role among her team, encourage those who might "hide" on the field to be in a position to gain more confidence and get more touches on the ball and to keep those who excel athletically from relying on athleticism and tighten up their stick work. If your unable to attend placements, then you will be placed on Middle School B.
